Avengers: Endgame Officially Getting Re-Released With New Post Credit Scene
10:08 AM
Marvel
Studios will give "Avengers: Endgame" the push that it likely
needs in a bid to surpass "Avatar" as the all-time worldwide
box-office champ by reissuing the movie with additional footage.
At a
press junket for "Spider-Man: Far
From Home," Marvel chief Kevin Feige told Comicbook.com that Avengers: Endgame
was heading back to the big screen for a theatrical re-release. Not only that,
but this version of the film will arrive with extra scenes that weren't
included in the first theatrical release.
"We
are doing that," Feige said of an Endgame re-release with new
footage. "I don't know if it's been announced. And I don't know how
much... Yeah, we're doing it next weekend."
So
Avengers: Endgame is coming back to a big screen near you with
new footage, which is an incredibly exciting announcement given the hype around
the movie. What's even more exciting is the fact that the film is arriving next
weekend, allowing fans to see it again before Spider-Man: Far From Home.
The
"Avengers" sequel has already amassed $2.743 billion globally through
Monday of this week, according to the website Boxofficemojo.com,
but that leaves it about $44 million behind "Avatar," director James
Cameron's 2009 sci-fi epic. but a re-release with new Post Credit Scene
could do the trick.
Be
on the lookout for a new version of Avengers: Endgame next week!
Avengers 4: Endgame Trailer Revealed
4:40 PM
Marvel has FINALLY dropped the first trailer for Avengers
4 and the title has been confirmed as Avengers: Endgame.
The thrilling teaser starts with Tony Stark (Robert Downey
Jr) adrift in space after the defeat by Thanos on Titan. He appears resigned,
sending a goodbye message to Pepper Potts before switching off his helmet.
The trailer is viewable in the video above after months of anticipation and
speculation regarding its arrival. The film will be a direct sequel to Avengers:
Infinity War, which ended on a climactic cliffhanger leaving fans begging
to know what is next for the Marvel Cinematic Universe since its release in
April of 2018Avengers 4 co-directors Anthony Russo and Joe Russo opened up about their approach to the film which will truly be the culmination of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
"You can't chase bigger because you get yourself into trouble," oe Russo told Comicbook.com of the sequel. "What you can chase is story telling. So, everything for us is based on the story. Obviously, this is larger in scale than Civil War because we have more than double the amount of characters in it, and it's Thanos, and it's cosmic. The stakes are the universe. You can't get much bigger than that."
The long-awaited
sequel to Avengers: Infinity War picks up from that devastating
ending as the remaining Avengers attempt to defeat Thanos.
We don't really know all that much about the movie, but
rumours have swirled around about everything from a time
travel plot to the Quantum
Realm acting as the MCU's
version of Soul World.
Thanks to set photos and the like, we do know that a whole
host of deceased
MCU characters will be back in Avengers 4 though.
For once, we can't expect Tom Holland to let slip any
spoilers about the sequel though. He recently joked that Marvel will
"shoot me" if he reveals anything, but we do know that somehow Spidey
will return as Spider-Man:
Far from Home comes out next year too.
The only thing we can say with certainty about Avengers
4 at the moment is that it will be epic, not just because of the massive
cast, but also the fact that it's currently clocking in at three
hours long.
Lion King 2019: First Teaser Trailer Released For New Film
12:31 AM
Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures just released the first
teaser trailer for director Jon Favreau's The Lion King, which roars
into theaters on July 19, 2019. The photorealistic computer-animated remake of
the 1994 classic features an all-star voice cast: Eric Andre as Azizi, Beyoncé as
Nala, Billy Eichner as
Timon, Chiwetel Ejiofor as
Scar, Donald Glover as
Simba, James Earl
Jones as Mufasa, John Kani as Rafiki, Florence Kasumba as
Shenzi, Keegan-Michael
Key as Kamari, John Oliver as
Zazu, Seth Rogen as
Pumbaa, JD McCrary as
young Simba, Shahadi
Wright Joseph as young Nala and Alfre Woodard as
Sarabi.
Set
to Hans Zimmer's
score, the teaser trailer shows the animal kingdom with Mufasa telling his son
Simba, "Everything the light touches is our kingdom. But a king's time as
rule rises and falls like the sun. One day, the sun will set on my time here
and will rise with you as the new king." As "Circle of Life"
plays, the trailer shows every animal arriving to welcome the little lion.
Disney announced Favreau would be making reimagining The Lion King in
2016, following the success of his Jungle Book remake;
the latter film, starring Neel Sethi and featuring the voice talents of Idris
Elba, Giancarlo
Esposito, Scarlett
Johansson, Ben Kingsley, Bill
Murray, Lupita
Nyong'o, Gary
Shandling and Christopher
Walken, earned $966 million at the box office.
Disney's The Lion King remake that's releasing in 2019 is very much a
live-action movie despite being practically all CGI. In recent years, it seems
as if Disney
is only good at live-action remakes rather than
making their more "original" live-action movies, such as A Wrinkle in Time and The Nutcracker and the Four Realms, even though those
movies are still based on pre-established properties. So, it's understandable
that they would want to continue down that path.
Needless
to say, everyone involved is treating the reboot with the utmost care.
Lucifer season 4 on Netflix: Release date, episodes, cast and everything you need to know
10:16 AM
Long live the Devil.
When Fox dared to cancel Lucifer after three seasons, fans turned their devastation into a huge campaign to #SaveLucifer – and guess who had the luck of the devil? It only went and worked.
On June 15, lead star Tom Ellis confirmed that Netflix had saved the show by ordering a fourth season.
"WE DID IT !!!!!!!!!!! Thank you to everyone for your continued support
and love for #Lucifer I am so happy for all our fans I'm going to
burst," he wrote.
But now that the Devil has risen again, what can we expect from season four on Lucifer's new home?
Lucifer season 4 cast: Who's coming back?
We've
not had any concrete confirmation on who's back yet, but Tom Ellis and
Lauren German have to be back as Lucifer Morningstar and Detective Chloe
Decker, especially as the season three finale saw Chloe finally seeing
Lucifer's true devil face after he killed Lt Marcus Pierce (Tom
Welling).
Aside from
those two, we'll likely see the returns of Kevin Alejandro as Detective
Dan Espinoza, DB Woodside as Amenadiel, Lesley-Ann Brandt as Mazikeen,
Aimee Garcia as Ella Lopez and Rachael Harris as Dr Linda Martin, among
others.
Prison Break's Inbar Levi is also joining the cast as Eve, the original sinner, who's pining after her first love Lucifer. After
an eternity with Adam, she's grown restless in her marriage and longs
for the charming rogue who tempted her so many years ago...
Lucifer season 4 release date: When will it arrive?
Co-showrunners Joe Henderson and Ildy Modrovich told TVLine that production is expected to start on season four in August 2018, with it expected to wrap up in December.
And true to their word, production started on season four on August 13 with the cast sharing a video from the set and taking a cheeky jab at Fox for cancelling the show in the first place.
That means we can't expect
season four to land anytime this year and we're looking at early 2019
at the earliest for season four to hit Netflix, but at least it'll be
the same everywhere so no Lucifer fan will have to wait for the new episodes.
Previously, Lucifer
has aired on Amazon Prime Video in the UK, but while nothing has been
confirmed yet, we think it's unlikely that it won't move to Netflix in
the UK as well.
Lucifer season 4 episodes: How many will there be?
The
season four renewal came with a bit of bad news as it was confirmed
that it would only be 10 episodes long, way down on season three's
24-episode run and shorter than the first (13 episodes) and second (18
episodes) seasons too.
Fortunately, though, those episodes might be slightly longer than we've come to expect from Lucifer.
Lucifer season 4 spoilers: What can we expect?
Since the show had been cancelled, the showrunners were pretty open after the season three finale about what season four would have centred around.
"That was the big thrust
of season four – exploring Chloe dealing with those ramifications, and
how it affected her relationship with Lucifer. Both professionally and
personally. Can you work with the Devil? Can you love the devil?" Henderson teased.
Modrovich added: "We also
had an exciting character from Lucifer's past who was going to come in
and mix everything up. A very personal, intimate figure who we won't
reveal the identity of yet… until we find out if we get the chance to
tell the tale on a new network."
So now at least we'll get to find out who that figure will be, but maybe not straightaway as the showrunners have said their original idea for season four will now be split in half. "We were going to have two parts to it anyway, so we'll just tell a really strong, gnarly first part," Modrovich enthused.
Henderson
adds that doing so "lets us concentrate the story and focus it, and
that's what's really exciting about this", adding: "We have a really strong first half that is now going to make for an amazing story."
The bonus episodes gave a hint as to how Chloe dealt with the season-three finale bombshell
too in a conversation with Ella after she'd been visited by the ghost
of an old acquaintance. "I have seen a lot crazier things. Like, a lot," Chloe replied – and generally seemed pretty chill with it.
And whatever happens in the story of season four, we can also expect more adult content now that the show isn't on a broadcast network, such as when they couldn't show Ellis's "wonderful, wonderful booty" during a scene in season one when Lucifer came out naked.
‘It: Chapter Two’: Here’s everything we know so far
9:39 AM
More photos from 'It: Chapter Two' bring more Pennywise (and nightmare fuel)

Stephen king’s it broke records last year with an opening weekend of more than $123 million — the biggest debut of all time in the month of September. The film’s phenomenal success at the box office virtually guaranteed a sequel, and a few weeks after the film’s premiere, It: Chapter Two was given a 2019 release date
The latest update on the film offers a few more photos from the set featuring everyone’s favorite nightmare clown.
It: Chapter Two focuses on the first film’s childhood friends, who return home as adults to confront the supernatural killer Pennywise the Dancing Clown, who terrorized them years earlier. Warner Bros. Pictures showed off the first footage from the film during Comic-Con International in July, and filming is still underway on the project.
Here’s everything we know about It: Chapter Two so far.
Title: It: Chapter Two
Release date: September 6, 2019
Cast: James McAvoy, Jessica Chastain, Bill Hader, Isaiah Mustafa, Bill Skarsgård
Director: Andrés Muschietti Cameras began rolling on It: Chapter Two in late June, and photos from the set — both official and otherwise — have been finding their way online throughout the production.
In September, Bill Skarsgård was seen in full costume as Pennywise for a scene shot in a muddy swamp in Port Hope, Canada.

Earlier in the month, a series of photos found their way online featuring Pennywise sitting on top of the Paul Bunyan statue in Derry, Maine, which plays a role in King’s original novel.

Jessica Chastain confirmed the first day of photography in Toronto, Ontario, with a June post on Instagram. The photo depicts the transformation from Sophia Lillis’ portrayal of Beverly Marsh in the first film to the now-adult character played by Chastain. https://www.instagram.com/p/BkjDEzGBsfT/?utm_source=ig_embed
The story
Set 27 years after the events of the original film, It: Chapter Two follows the adult members of the “Losers Club,” who were introduced as children in the first film, as they return to Derry, Maine, to confront Pennywise the Clown for a second — and hopefully final — time.
Although the next movie will take place in the present day, the younger versions of the characters will still be an important part of the story.
The film will also retain one of the weirder elements from its source material: A scene from the story’s finale involving something called “the Ritual of Chüd.”
In King’s novel, the adult Losers Club battles Pennywise by performing an elaborate ritual involving surreal imagery, metaphysical concepts, and even the telling of jokes. While it’s uncertain what form this scene will take in the movie, screenwriter Gary Dauberman confirmed that the ritual is indeed in Chapter Two.
“The Ritual of Chüd is challenging, but it’s such an important component to the book that we had to address it,” he told Cinema Blend. “That stuff is difficult to balance, but because [director Andy Muschietti, producer Barbara Muschietti and I] worked with each other before, when I’m writing pages and all that stuff, it becomes more of a conversation and less like, ‘Hey, here’s what I did.’ It’s sort of organic; it’s really kind of just chipping away at the stone and trying to find the most focused, accessible way into some of more metaphysical aspects of that book.”
One notable change from the novel is what happens to Mike, the one who stays in Derry and becomes a librarian, keeping watch for Pennywise’s return.New Line Cinema gave audiences their first look at footage from It: Chapter Two during Comic con international in San Diego and while it wasn’t released to the public, descriptions of the footage found their way online after it debuted.

Along with bringing back the young cast from It: Chapter One, the sequel will feature adult versions of those same characters. The actors portraying the adult members of “Losers Club” tormented by Pennywise the Clown 27 years ago are as follows:
The studio released a full cast photo of the seven adult characters during a script read-through shortly after cameras began rolling.

Also returning from the first film is Bill Skarsgård as the terrifying supernatural killer Pennywise the
The film’s supporting cast includes Teach Grant (Altered Carbon) as Henry Bowers, the adult version of the character previously played by Nicholas Hamilton, as well as Xavier Dolan (Boy Erased) as Adrian Mellon, Will Beinbrink (Queen of the South) as Tom Rogan, and Jess Weixler (Teeth) as Audra Phillips.
Venom’ movie: Everything we know about it so far
1:56 PM'Venom' is all tooth and tongue in the latest movie posters
You can’t keep a good character down in Hollywood — even when that character has spent most of its existence as one of Marvel Comics’ most notorious villains. The Venom movie based on the popular Spider-Man spinoff character has an action-packed new trailer showcasing the film’s wild alien effects, and now the movie has a few new posters, too.
And set to hit theaters October 5, Venom will feature Mad Max: Fury Road and The Dark Knight Rises star Tom Hardy as Eddie Brock, a journalist who becomes the host of a powerful, symbiotic alien that gives him superhuman abilities.
Here’s everything we know so far.
All teeth and tongue
Just a few weeks before the film’s premiere, Sony Pictures released a set of new posters for Venom that puts some of its titular star’s most memorable features front and center.
https://twitter.com/Fandango/status/1041029331538063360/photo/1
https://twitter.com/LightsCameraPod/status/1041728659848081415/photo/1
These posters were preceded in July by a new, Japan-specific poster for Venom that just might be even more terrifying than any of the footage released so far.
From the multiple rows of teeth to the tentacle-like tongue and dripping saliva, Venom is looking as scary as ever in the Japanese-language poster.
Venom … for kids?
Throughout much of development and production on Venom, it seemed like a foregone conclusion that Sony Pictures would follow the example set by Deadpool and make the violent character’s solo debut an R-rated feature. That conclusion proved wrong, though, when the film’s official rating was confirmed to be the more kid-friendly PG-13.
https://twitter.com/ErikDavis/status/1040335513511714817
Rumors first began circulating in August (via Variety) that Venom probably wouldn’t be Sony’s first R-rated film based on a Marvel Comics property.
The rumor machine shifted into high gear in January when a Collider host reported that Tom Holland’s Spider-Man — the star of home coming and the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s youngest star — might show up in Venom.

First announced as the star of the film in May 2017, Hardy confirmed his involvement in a photo posted on Twitter by Sony Pictures.
https://twitter.com/SonyPictures/status/865629713225572352/photo/1
The end of filming didn’t stop the flow of casting news, with Luke Cage and This Is Us actor Ron Cephas Jones announced as one of the actors making an appearance in Venom just a few months before the film hits theaters.
Given the critical and commercial success of Spider-Man: Homecoming and the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe up to this point, there is plenty of incentive to tie Venom to those films, but all signs point to Sony positioning Venom as the first film in a new cinematic universe based on Spider-Man spinoff properties.
